lanvin project

One of my friends came to me about a year ago and asked me to paint her Lanvin bag.  This is the first stage of the process.  I have to admit that I was a little nervous to throw paint at a Lanvin.  But, I have to say I am loving this idea!
STAGE 1: back of the bag, dark blue applied
STAGE 2: front of the bag, dark blue and black applied
STAGE 3: back of the bag. added black.
STAGE 4: blue applied

just arrived in virginia

after a 10 day long excursion across the country.  I have a lot of inspiration from much of the nature that I saw during various points in our trip .  I can't wait to get started!  I am going to begin looking for studio space this week and hope to start posting new pieces before the end of the month!  Stay tuned...

For now, here is a picture of me and my mother in the middle of our 12 mile hike down the Grand Canyon and back.  This picture is of us at Plateau Point, off of the Bright Angel trail.  The river below is the Colorado River.  It was close to 120 degrees outside when we took this.  It was HOT!!!  But such an amazing feat!  I am so lucky to have had such an experience...and with my mom!!

art mere/art pere

Along with Kristen Buckingham, I have submitted "Knots" to be auctioned off at Art Mere/Art Pere benefitting the Livestrong Foundation.  The online auction begins on September 21 and runs through October 5.  The silent auction will be on October 6th in Los Angeles.  Please visit the website to learn more and to start your bidding on many of the incredible works of art!

I am very excited and honored to be amongst such amazing artists and to be donating a piece of my work to benefit the Livestrong Foundation!  What an incredible experience!  A big thank you to Art Mere/Art Pere and my friends at Kristen Buckingham!
